Renewable Developments
Shane joined Downing Renewable Developments in July 2023 to lead the delivery team. Prior to joining Downing, Shane has worked within the renewable energy industry since 2007 in consultancy and has a wealth of experience delivering wind, hydro and solar renewable energy projects. He has worked on global renewable energy projects, including some of the largest in the UK and Europe.
Working closely with the wider buiness, as Head of Delivery, Shane ensures our projects are developed and delivered into operation through a structured process led by experienced engineers and construction managers. A key focus of the team is to hand over projects which have been designed and optimised to provide a quality asset for the operational phase.
Shane is a Chartered Engineer with the ICE and holds a Bachelor Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering as well as a Masters of Engineering Science in Sustainable Energy from University College Cork, Ireland.
