Children with special needs or learning difficulties need a school that will give them the best start in life. A place where they can learn life skills and feel safe, as well as receive a rewarding education.
In partnership with the splendidly named Spaghetti Bridge, Downing’s specialist investment team has been helping to set up special educational needs (SEN) schools designed to improve the lives of children.
Spaghetti Bridge currently operates four existing schools with 200 places in South West England. Several other properties are currently undergoing refurbishment. The company’s senior executive team has a wealth of experience in specialist education and care and is driven to secure fantastic outcomes for every young person in their services.
This area lies at the heart of what drives us at Downing. SEN schools have tremendous social benefit and remain firmly on our agenda for future investment.

Downing Investment Director Torsten Mack says:
“We are happy to be working with the Spaghetti Bridge management team and proud to support some of the more vulnerable members of our society by providing them with specialist education in a nurturing environment - making a positive impact on their lives.”
