Willowglen Renewables Limited
This was the second farm-based anaerobic digestion opportunity to be brought to us by Greener for Life Energy Ltd (“GFLE”). GFLE is an AD consultant and developer.
The investment funded a 1.3MW Combined Heat and Power ("CHP") generating facility, located near Exeter, Devon. It is processing c. 32,000 tonnes p.a. of animal manures, slurries, grass and maize silage to produce biogas which are used to generate and sell renewable electricity under the Feed in Tariff regime. It followed a similar investment into Nomansland Biogas Limited in December 2013.
The plant successfully passed its electrical safety test in December 2014, when it started to export electricity to the national grid. This ensured that the plant will earn the projected Feed in Tariff (FiT) subsidy.
The site is now managed by Ixora Energy Limited.
