Joe Flaherty
Joe has nineteen years of experience in banking having started his career at RBS. Prior to joining Downing in 2026, he spent ten years at Beaufort Capital, a specialist development funder. Before Beaufort, Joe spent four years at BLME where he was Associate Director for Real Estate. He has written and managed over £500m worth of lending, across a variety of sectors, such as residential, mixed-use, retirement and student accommodation with a total GDV of over £1.5bn.
Joe also holds a BA (Hons) degree from the University of Bristol, is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland and speaks Spanish and Russian.
